Houston Thanksgiving!

The whole Welch family was together for Thanksgiving in Houston this year! The weather was beautiful. It was so nice to take a break from school and the cold Utah weather. Kyle's girlfriend, Sheena, spent the week with us as well. She is so sweet and we love having her with us!

Sadly, I was horrible at taking pictures and didn't get many at all. We watched Harry Potter 7 and can't wait to see part 2 next summer. There was an awesome pine tree farm where we found a Christmas tree together. Jason and I found a dog we love there, a newfoundland-lab mix :) We are still recovering from our sugar overload between Candylicious, the Chocolate bar, Treat cupcakes, Brooklyn's amazing pumpkin bread pudding, Mom's pies and cookies, etc. We took advantage of the beautiful sunny and 70 degree weather by playing football, soccer, biking, etc. Jas and Dad dominated in most of the games we played this week, they were awesome. A new movie trivia game we tried is called "Pass the Popcorn", I recommend it!

Our Thanksgiving dinner pic, taken by Sheena:

We took a quick family picture in the neighborhood before the week was over (Kyle was talking!):

The most exciting news of the week is Jordan and Madison are engaged!! They are such a perfect couple. Madi is already like a sister to me, I love having her around. She is from Houston as well- in the same neighborhood as my parents, so it was fun for them to show up in the family ward with the formal announcement.

Jordan took her to a restaurant called the Stratosphere. They had their first formal date there and it's a really beautiful place- it's at the top of a tower that rotates so you see the whole city while you eat. He had the chef write "Will you marry me?" in chocolate on the dessert plate. When she got her dessert he got down on one knee with the ring. They are such a cute couple!
