Brazos Bend

My dad was so nice and spent the whole day with me at Brazos Bend state park. We were expecting to see the alligators from a dock or behind a fence but nope! They were all over the place- on the trail we were walking on, on the edge of the lake with NOTHING between us and them! It was an adrenaline rush.

I wish I had brought a better camera because these lily pads were so beautiful, the raindrops looked like silver.

The birds were so beautiful here too, this is a Blue Heron. My mom and I always drove to a park where there were Blue Herons so they bring back a lot of memories for me. You can't really tell in this picture but this one is about 5 feet tall, they're huge!

This picture still gives me goosebumps, my dad took this picture for me- I was too scared to get that close!

Now for the alligator pics...you can see the rest of this one's head under the water if you look closely.

They are camouflaged so well in the bayou, I didn't notice this one until my dad told me to stop walking right next to it!

My dad spotted this guy down the trail, once again, he took the picture because I was to afraid!

  1. Wow! I would definitely be a little edgy on that outing! Neat pictures, though.
